Per the article, "He [Malcolm] was the only son of the late Donald Cameron who owned valuable tracts of land in the south west Corner of Darlington..  He was one of the early pioneers and noted for his push and enterprise and was for many years an elder in the Presbyterian Church in Bowmanville."
