Cameron News In A Letter To Archibald McMillan

Edinburgh

...letter from McMillan forwarded to father which he received at the same time from Glenpean
Mr. Ross's sons...idle dogs, and fit for nothing but the Army or Navy.  ...the most thriving, Charles, is gone to the west Indies...

Strone's son is a remarkable fine boy...father...or bred him as a merchant, instead of making a weaver of him...but if report is true, you will soon have him in America, for they say that Strone, and all the Mackalonies are to visit you next year.

Secheil had a sell lately, and great are the changes...along both sides of Locharhaig every single small tenant is to be dispossessed.  John Glenevis gets Crieff and.....

Duncan Cameron and his sons get Murlaggan Hallish.....

Captain Cameron at the head of Lochiel is to be dispossessed, but the poor man now fortunately get in as a Captain to the Canadian ___Regiment.
