In 1900 James & Josephine Cameron, who had no children, were still living in Beaver Borough, Beaver Co., Pennsylvania. James' father was born in West Virginia.

He died at Beaver, Pennsylvania, on 27 April 1903, at age 62, according to the Michigan Alumnus.
