Died: Tuesday, May 25, 1948, at the residence
Funeral from Groves & Co., Saginaw at Fifth
Reverend O. H. Hood officiating
Burial: Flint Memorial Park Cemetery
Death due to complications after a sudden illness
Born: Sterling, [Arenac Co.] Michigan, 7 March 1897
Came to Flint 29 years ago from Duluth, MN
Survived by: Husband, Alexander; son, Thomas Kilpatrick of Kalamazoo;
4 sisters: Mrs. Jessie Dean, of St. Paul, MN; Mrs. Rachel Brandt of Flint and Mrs. Inez Hagen and Mrs. Isabel Buxton of Superior, Wis.; Brother Lawrence McLaughlin of Superior, Wis; several nieces and nephews

Adelia probably never knew that her father's real name was Isaac Codling.  Her sister, Isabel, with whom I corresponded 20 plus years ago, had at that time only recently found that her father's name was not Laughlin McLaughlin.
