BENNETT--George W. -- 1105 Frost St., age 73, died Monday, June 12, 1978, at McLaren General Hospital. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Chapel, Rev. Dr. Elmer I. Braden officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Mr. Bennett will be at the funeral home. Mr. Bennett was born in New Jersey, July 4, 1904. He was a member of Community Presbyterian Church since 1967 and had been employed by Buick Motor Division for 44 years. Surviving are: daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and David Jaworski of Flint; sister, Agnes Trankle of Flint; several nieces and nephews.

George Bennett was marred to Flora Cameron. Flora (Aunt Bub) was the daughter of Donald & Anna (Cameron) Cameron and was my grandmother's (Beatrice Cameron Powers') sister. George and Flora had a daughter, Sandra, who died as a child and a daughter, Diane*, who was in her 20's when she died of a heart problem. Daughter Ellen died 8 Aug. 1999 and had no children. There are no living descendants of George & Flora (Cameron) Bennett.
