John Cameron MacNaughton, a railroad engineer for Grand Trunk Railroad, was the son of Hugh MacNaughton and Mary Cameron of Scotland. He was born in Leith, Scotland, on July 12, 1841, and died in Port Huron, St. Clair County, Michigan, on April 28, 1928, and was listed as a single man on his death record.
