Christie Duer Cameron, Widow Of John


Mary Christie provided an affidavit on behalf of her mother, Mrs. Christie Cameron, who applied for a War of 1812 widow's pension based on the service of her late husband, John Cameron.  [Affidavit of Mary Christie of Caledonia, Livingston County, New York, dated 8 September 1855]  Mary also stated that she was 15 years old when her father died [on 29 December 1814 at his house in Johnstown].

Ann Christie, daughter of John and Christie Cameron stated that her mother's maiden name was Duer in her affidavit.  She also named her siblings as Mary Christie and John Cameron, who were older, and Catherine Cameron, Archibald Cameron, Garrett (?) Cameron and Daniel Cameron, who were younger than she.
