Donald Cameron Capt in the Kings American Rangers and whose surviving family are now living at Montreal N. America lived in this parish of Morven for the space of twelve years in which time he had five children (three sons and two daughters) born to him in lawful wedlock by names William, Nancy, Mary, John & Alexander and whose ages are as follows
William born in Feby 1791 age 22
Nancy in March 1792 21
Mary in October 1795 18
John in Jany 1797 16
Alexander in March 1798 15
That the above young people were born in this parish in the years & months herein named & were all of them baptized by me is [?certified] and attested at Morven Manse this 20th August 1813 by Norman McLeod

Your letter of July last inquiring of the ages of our friend Capt Cameron’s children, born in this parish came to ? hand by ? ? Oban & As there was no correct register left there in the parish, I had to examine ? & others before I could make out a proper certificate ? ? now I hope it will answer their ? ? a gentleman I had a great regard for and ? ? well to his family
